How big will my puppy get?

Estimate your puppy’s or kitten’s adult weight from its age and weight today, using growth curves by size.

Puppy or kitten?

How the estimate works

Small dogs finish growing at around 9–10 months, large breeds at 12–15 months and giants closer to two years. The calculator uses a growth curve for each size, calibrated on typical proportions of adult weight at each age (for example a medium puppy weighs about 45% of its adult weight at 16 weeks), and divides today’s weight by that proportion. Individual puppies vary, so treat it as a guide.
